Partying to the fullest- did someone bring the apple cider?...

Hey you guy's! It has been a really long time since I have written on my blog. A lot has happened since last November so let me give you a rundown. I went on a trip with my school to the U.k and Europe. We traveled to England, France, Ireland, and Scotland and I had a really fun time. I do not have time to sum it all up now, since technically I'm supposed to be doing my homework right now, but I plan on writing another post about everything at another time.. Sooo, the topic of this post. I was told a few days ago that I need to write a half of a page on how Grace Academy (my school) has impacted me. So here it is..
Grace has impacted me in many ways; first of all, I used to be home schooled so the shock of socializing with people impacted me very much. It took me awhile to get used to having to talk with more than six people a day…  Grace has also impacted me in that I have grown closer to God since starting school. The teachers have helped me become more accountable in my spiritual life and my second mom (Mrs. Frisk) has had a big part in my growth. I love how Mrs. Frisk has mastered the art of making you feels as if she cares about you as she hands back a paper that is covered with red marks, then gives you a tissue while asking you to keep the sobbing at a low level. She has helped me grow in my writing skills and keeps on pushing me to improve. I also really appreciate my other teachers, Bible taught me how to stay awake through the most harrowing moments of sleep deprivation, CWP taught me how to insult a teacher, and Spanish taught me how to do it in another language (You would understand all of this more if you were in my classes, especially CWP). Everyone at Grace is always quick to help you understand something new and bring God’s wonderful creation into every subject. I would never take back my experience from high school; it has been a time of learning, and wonderful times with friends. I am glad that Grace has given me this exciting experience and I hope that the other students realize what a blessing my presence has been to them. Have fun taking tests while I’m off partying…

Luke... I am your father.. NOOOOoooooooooooo..

So just to ward off any confusion about the title of my blog having nothing to do with the actual topic of my post, I am going to explain. I couldn't think of a title.. Soooo I thought I might as well go with a Star Wars quote. Anyways, to begin my post  I am going to tell you some random facts that will confuse you, but that will soon make sense. At my school they are having a U.K trip for the seniors and juniors to go on in March 2013, in order to go on this trip you obviously need a passport, I do not have a passport, I need a passport, and my birth certificate is forged.. Haha just kidding about the last one. Anyways, yesterday my parents pulled me out school early to go to the postal office to get a passport. We arrived at the post office in our car and  proceeded to swim through the 7 feet of water meant to be a parking lot and into the building. After we dried off on a few discombobulated pedestrians, we proceeded to the back of the building. We were directed to a back office where we waited for about fifteen minutes to finally talk to a lady who strangely resembled Edna from the Incredibles. This was my first warning sign that things would not go as planned. She proceeded to make several wisecracks about me being the last girl in my family, and gave me a lecture about how I am eighteen and should do something useful with my life. Like get married. Anyways, we were almost completely through the process when "Edna" suddenly realized that my birth certificate was not filed the required one year after my birth. In fact, it was filed three years after my birth... This was a problem. I would not be able to file for a passport that day. The conversation went something like this: Edna-"So it will be fine if you go to the hospital and get her birth records". Mom- "she had a home birth so there are not records." Edna-"Ok, ok that will be fine, just get a signed document from her midwife saying when she was born ecc.." Mom- "Her midwife died two years after she was born.. " Edna- "Okaaaay, thats fine as a last resort you can get some records from her elementary school." Mom- "She was homeschooled..."  Edna-......
Anyways, everything ended up working out in the end. I just need to get four people who were present at my birth to fill out a sheet about everything that happened at my birth, and my mom to write an essay on why we cant get any of the previous documents mentioned and notarize it. We are going back this Friday, so wish me luck. Anyways, Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Eat a lot and get fat :)

We have gathered here today in memory of good intentions..

Have you ever noticed that life is full of good intentions? Even worse, good intentions are put to death every day by  media devices and other more interesting distractions. You meant to take out the garbage today, but you just happened to accidentally get pulled into a trance by the lulling sound of the computer calling your name. Even worse, school is the ultimate killer of good intentions. This week I had a four day weekend, and I had a very noble intention of finishing all of my homework on Thursday, instead of Sunday night. Well, like many good intentions, this idea met a very noble termination along with the plan to clean my room. Instead, I have spent my weekend watching movies and playing video games. Who's fault is this? well, obviously it is my schools fault. If they didn't put such high expectations on me as a student I wouldn't have this problem!  Makes sense, right? Instead of having five tests I needed to study for, and homework in every subject to finish over the prolonged weekend, I could have two spelling words to memorize... Which could easily be put off until Monday morning and thus all good intentions would still be alive and fully functioning. Really, that is the solution to the slaughter of good intentions, just lower expectations! Anyways, as you can probably tell I just may have a problem with procrastination... Which brings up another subject, if someone made a pill to take away all will to procrastinate, they would be rich! I myself have considered creating such a pill, but I keep putting it off until the next day...

On a completely different subject I was discussing with a friend recently about how lazy Americans are. Really, compared to some teenagers in other countries we have it very easy. Not much is expected of many teenagers other than to maybe clean their room and not fail school. Of course their are exceptions, but overall usually American teenagers especially are really undisciplined and lazy. Anyways, just putting that out there.

mam get off the floor, quit crying, and stop thanking me, all I said was hi...

Now I admit it, home schoolers can be a little strange sometimes, but what can you expect when a person spends 8 hours a day with no other social interaction then his math book, and ten siblings. I mean pi is great, but one can only be expected to stay sane for so long, when interacting with endless numbers all day.
Nevertheless, this post is dedicated to the proving that home schoolers are normal human beings, they are just a little different than everyone else.
The number one difference, usually brought up between the home schooled and public/private school goers, is social life. The difference being that pubic and private schoolers actually get one.
Now the myth that home schoolers do not get a social life is not true. We socialize with our family, and any misfortunate pets that happen to witness our sporadic sobbing and wailing for conversation with someone unrelated. The only way to cure these "socially deprived" people is to thrust them into a public school, and hope they survive their first 15 minutes of interaction with other human beings. If they don't, the only side effect is usually an eye twitch that shows up anytime someone brings up, "Josh who liked Betty, who liked Sam, but wasn't sure anymore, who thought he liked Lilly, but broke up with her after Nick said he might go out with Betty, who was jealous of Jenny, who decided she couldn't handle the drama, and ended up being homeschooled." Since usually, a home schooler's only exposure to drama before "normal" school is the cat throwing up on the couch, high school drama might come as a bit of a shock. The eye twitch usually goes away before death, but I can't guarantee anything.
To accompany this post I am making a list of the most common questions home schoolers are asked, when they are thrown into the life of drama, communication, and the lack of poor pets who break out in a cold sweat and head for the hills anytime they see a sobbing homeschooler.
anyways the questions.
1. what do you do for social interaction?
2. do you know what the Internet is?
3. I bet your from one of those families with 12 kids.
4. does your family drive a bus?(to accommodate the 12 billion kids)
5. do you know what Utube is?
6. what do you do for prom (gasp), how can you live without prom??
7. how many languages do you speak?
8. do you get to sleep in to whenever you want?
9. do you even do school?
10. are you one of those persons who just wears skirts?
11. do you even own a pair of pants?
12. do you go to class in you pajamas?
13. so are you a nerd?
14. do you have finals?
15. do you get snow days?
16. so, are you going to college, or are you going to get married, have 14 kids, and home school them all?

Along with this list of questions, I am also adding a list of ways to spot a homeschooler from near, or far. Though I would suggest far since you might not want to get too close to them.

1. A bus is parked in the lot with an assortment of items all the way from diapers to SAT study guides, and handy little books on interacting with "the other people"(known as public schoolers)
2. A family is shopping at the store and has 5 carts, all the girls are wearing homemade skirts.
3. Any family anywhere with more then three people with hand made clothing.
4. When you are conversing with a two year old and he is explaining the difference between deism, evolution, and creation.
5. When the two year old corrects you on your use of grammar.
6 When the two year old's 5 sisters come along and offer to knit you a sweater.
7. When a seemingly normal teenager asks you, "what's that black thing your holding up to your ear and talking into?"
8. When you see a sobbing teenager on the floor thanking a lady for saying hi to him.
9. The moment when you are visiting a college campus and there is a 12 year old who has her masters in Microbiology.
10. When you are visiting a church who's congregation is mostly made up of the pastor's 18 kids and... the pastor's 18 kids.
11. When you see parents, and the mother looks like she hasn't slept in 48 hours, and has an apron on.
12. When socializing for teenagers means standing around debating about evolution and world politics with adults.
13. When you meet a kid who knows Arminisnism, the five points of Calvinism, and can debate both sides.
14. When the above happens, and they are debating it in Greek and Hebrew.
15. When a parent goes through all 15 names of the kids, before actually naming the kid's real name.

Just warn you guys I wrote this at 2:30 A.M, and at that time of the morning, all normal brain function has stopped for me. So if I wrote something weird, I blame it on the lack of sleep. And just clarifying, I used to be home schooled, and I really enjoyed it :)

here engine, engine... where are you?...

My family has gone through various cars the past few years, each car has had his own assorted and distinct personality. All through these various personalities my family has named, maimed, and terrorized each to a different extent, and slowly but shirly each has extracted payment with a satisfied vengeance on my family.
I will start my narrative of past events beginning three cars ago. The first was the bean burrito: true to its name this car would not be imagined cruising through streets, hood down while being driven by a suave Kelvin Kline model.. No, this car would sludge through dark alley's, while being driven by a chuckling maniac, who is running over a young child's prized beach ball. The burrito inflicted much misery on my family as it had no floor, windows, or working brakes. We never knew when the brakes would come to a screeching halt, and my family would have to pull a Flintstones moment to try to stop the car(if you don't understand this you are a deprived child and need to look up that show). Nevertheless my family only drove this car in dire situations, and had to expel it from our repertoire after one particular vacation when the engine decided to take a leave of absence.
The next clunker was the rat. (named by my father) This car snuck through yards running over bikes and assorted lawn ornaments, whether there was a driver in the car or not. The rat was slightly better than our last, as it had a floor and working brakes, but it still had its quirks. The right window would spontaneously stop working, the locks would giggle maniacally and unlock right as the creepy guy was walking by our car, and the radio never failed to randomly turn on and blast out Katy Perry at the worse times. Like when you are talking to your pastor on the phone about Bible studies....
And last but not least we have our most recent conquest, Alejandro... This car is a red sheek Saturn view, and unlike our other cars it has no unusual quirks other than it actually runs right. After the first two days of un-flawed driving, Alejandro succeeded in shocking my family in solemn silence, which is a rare occasion for my family. He still had not shown any personality traits that would  give reason for our insurance to break out in a cold sweat, but you never know. There is always time for mishap to make an appearance with his giggling comrade distress, with little Mr. injury just tagging along.

Poems/school :)

Hey everyone! It has been a long time since I have written a blog post but I have been so busy I haven't had time. So for all you fine feathered folks today I have some poems. Cause I am too lazy to actually come up with something to write, so here you go! :)

  Freedom reigns

All through life and time
Freedom should reign

People
Should be able to visit that steeple

Where they pray to God
Without having their rights being taken

Our soldiers have fought
And given their lives

For that which is right and true
as long as the sky is blue

Freedom should reign for all
And for all be ready and waiting

If we lose the freedom to say
What we must

What will happen to this nation?
To every man at any station

We will waste those lives that fought
Not bought

The freedom to talk, to walk,
to enjoy life, and to pursue happiness, all this we shouldn’t mock

so pray
pray for this nation to turn to God

For the freedom that we all
Do love

While walking a path that’s lined with trees,
I hear a whisper so soft, a breeze,
The leaves are rustling and calling my name,
This time for silence I will so seize,

The scene I see if I could frame,
Would win a prize and thus much fame,
For this picture just in my sight,
Brings peace and solace to all the same,

I’m happy to spend my day and night,
Standing right here and loving this sight,
I heard a noise just where I stood,
A car is honking which isn’t quite right,

But then it passed as if I could,
Pretend it hadn’t disturbed this wood,
The silence is back I knew it would,
The stillness is here and it is good.

So there you go, my sad attempts at writing poems. Later folks!

cackling cats and world peace

For U.S history this week we have been having a brief break from our usual vigorous textbook studies so we can learn something about the government. Last Thursday each student in my class took a bill. They could either make one up or use one already existing, and present the opposing and supporting side of it. There were heated discussions talking about changing the legal drinking age, whether daughters should need parental consent before getting an abortion, and whether gay marriage should be allowed, there were some grave and thoughtful debates. Annnnnd then there was mine....

A bill for having cats on leashes.-supporting
1. Cats go into other people's yard and mess up their property which causes hostility between neighbors so it would help neighborhood relations and unity.
2.It would give people even more chances for exercise because they would need to walk their cat, and thus helping America's weight gain problem.
3. It would help our economy because people would need to buy even more supplies for their cats, thus stores would make more money and wouldn't go out of business. Plus new inventions would be created to supply needs for this new bill, example- the cat treadmill.
4. The percentage of cat deaths would decrease, thus less money would be spent on young children's grief therapy.
5. The percentage of road kill would decrease.
6. The leash would help that ever present problem people have with their cats not coming when called, the cats would already be there, problem solved :D.

A bill for having cats on leashes-opposed
1. Cats are an independent creature thus they should be free to do as they will.
2. Less cats would have homes because of the extra time and expense needed to care for them.
3. The population of cats in the pound would increase and thus more cats would be put down, as they would be unable to care for all of them.
4. Cats would no longer be free to roam and thus wouldn't be there to kill the rats and mice in your community. So the rat and mice population would go up.

I don't think anyone was expecting that... Needless to say I had a lot of fun coming up with ideas for it. Just imagine a world where all our cat problems are fixed. I don't know why someone hasn't thought of this idea before! When I first came up with this idea for the bill, I was just having fun. But, as the night dragged on and on and I tried to come up with ideas for opposing this bill, I couldn't. It became clear to me. We don't need world peace... or to have a global tax.... or to rid our world of all weapons!  We need leashes! by the Billions!!! all on cats!!! Bwahahahahaha!.....
annnnnd then after cackling to myself for awhile, I realized I was hallucinating and went to bed.

Bible papers and space aliens...

I am writing this paper for my Bible class... I am supposed to write a 600-800 word paper on a man who's first information I read about him, and I quote says: "There was once a biography of Eusebius, written by his successor as Caesarea's bishop, but like so many other documents, it is lost. So we know nothing for certain about this historian's early life. He was probably born in Palestine, we think he was martyred but there is no way to know for sure." What!!! How in the world am I supposed to write a paper about a man who we barely know existed, much less anything about him!!....
I promptly started sobbing after reading that information...

Not only that, but we are supposed to write a captivating beginning and ending.
My only idea is that since we don't officially know how he died, I could add my own version of his death, perhaps involving space aliens... It would go something like this: One day, Eusebius of Caesarea was walking down the road, then suddenly a bright light appeared and an object came down from the heavens, he blindly tried to run away, but it was too fast... And!!!... it landed on him... the end.
The only problem is, I don't know how my Bible teacher would feel about this...

christmas cheer :)

Can you believe Christmas is only THREE DAYS AWAY!!! It seems like only yesterday I was tearing my hair out and attempting to get used to the school week. Now I can relish one week of pure relaxation and another week of vacation freaking out, worrying about how I have to go back to school in 7...6....5...4...3...ect days. All the while worrying about all the unfinished homework I have been pushing off to the next day. You know what the thing is about procrastinating to the next day is? well there is always another day maniacally grinning at you after the next, calling you to just put everything off to the next day.
I can hear it: you don't really have to study for that test Hannah.... I mean just think of all the T.V shows you have missed all this school year, you don't want to disappoint them do you??
And of course, I feel obliged not to embitter the next day, so I put off my ever present homework to the next.

On the continued subject of Christmas, today I am going to finish all my baking. I am making cherry truffles, gingerbread men, and coconut balls covered with chocolate(I would give you a specific name for them but I don't know what they are called). yummm :) can't just feel the weight being added on??
You know I never understood how people can wait until a few days before Christmas to finish their shopping, until now. There just isn't time!!!! By the time you get of school you aren't thinking about shopping, you are thinking about catching up on all the sleep you have lost during the school year so far. Which I have to say, I have done an excellent job of doing.
I hate to admit it, but I have officially become one of those people who waits until two days before Christmas to finish their shopping (sniff). The first step to recovery is addmitting you have a problem, right?? It is three days before Christmas and I still have most of my shopping to do.
Anyways, Merry Christmas everyone, and have a wonderful day!
                                                                                           Hannah
P.S I wrote this three days before Christmas,
but haven't had a chance to post it, until now. :)

I blame the pumpkin pie....

As you all probably know, tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day. One of the days of the year where we all break out our loose jeans to get ready for the soon to be expanding stomach.
Well, I have made a resolution... to not diet! I am going to go against the supermodel skinny peerpressure and not care that I had 100 too many calories and that I am going to gain a pound the next day, which will then lead to my downward spiral into depression and weight gain where I will then find no man that will love me and end my days on a reality TV show talking about that one extra piece of pumpkin pie that was my demise. No more!!!
I have a system and one glimmer of hope. SHOPPING! I will spend my day after Thanksgiving shopping, walking mile upon mile through stores, burning many glorious calories. And thus creating a whole new excuse for spending money.
Anywho, have a wonderful calorie filled Thanksgiving Day, and enjoy Black Friday.

and she shoots!!! and!!!.... she misses....

Have ever noticed that your major school supplies seem to go missing at just the wrong time? your math book was there last night when go got up in the middle of the night and it attempted to wrestle you to the floor and almost won. But, the next morning when you actually need it to study for a really important test, it decides to take a leave of absence and depart from your presence until after 3:30 P.M, where you come home frustrated from almost failing your math test and happen to trip over it. I find it quite a phenomenon. the same goes for any major History and English quizzes too.

A little update on volleyball the season ended last week on a win which was amazing, and I just want to say good job to all the girls on our team, I saw a TON of improvement from the beginning of the season to the end and you were a fabulous team to play with.
now to basketball :D
the season starts in exactly 18 days 7 hours 26 min and 15...14...13..12..11..etc... seconds, and as you can probably tell I am not excited for it at all.... :D :D
as a side note it was so weird going back to a basketball after handling a volleyball for 3 months. And I blame that entirely for the (cough)ten(cough) times it took me to attempt to make a shot. I blame that and the glare that was coming off the floor of the gym for the 10 misses.

high school and survival of the fittest...

Has anyone else ever noticed the phenomenon of the school week?? how on Monday everyone is basking in the glow of three glorious days of sleep and relaxation from the weekend and seems to have forgotten all about Friday and their sleep deprived state???
also you might notice that as the week goes on everyone slowly but shirly starts looking less and less cheerful and starts going into the deep dark sloth of depression only to be brought on by half a week of tests, homework, and attempting to drag a 50 billion pound back pack around, all the while in the back of your mind a  nagging voice drones on and on about how you still have another half a week of school left to survive...
yep, that pretty much sums up my school week...

as a side note did you know that you are supposed to only carry around 10 pounds of stuff in your backpack???   you can imagine the fit of mirth this brought upon me when I heard this... after I got up off the floor attempting to control my laughter, I proceeded to tell the person sharing this useful  information with me that my math book weighs more than that, much less three classes worth of stuff that I have to lug around. And it would be quite impossible for me to carry so little in my backpack unless I hired someone to carry the rest of my load, which wouldn't happen unless they were willing to lug my stuff around for free...

on the subject of volleyball, I LOVE IT!!! I couldn't ask for a better group of girls, they are all amazing, and a ton of fun!

school and going crazy.... is there a connection...?

I want to start this post by saying sorry for not updating my blog sooner. I was planing on writing a post telling you about my first day of school, and my attempt to adjust to: getting up at 6 A.M, having a social life, and surprise, surprise, doing homework. But between the lack sleep and the shock of actually socializing with people, I was too focused on keeping my sanity to think about blogging. Now to summarize my first week of school,
 AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA....
ok... I'm better now.

lets just say it was an adjustment....

Now, lets talk about homework. To start off, I will say that I think the people who published my school books have a cruel sense of humor. Example A. my history book. This week I had a number of assignments in history... and lets just say it wasn't pretty. You know the feeling of dread and despair   that creeps up on you whenever you have 10 minutes until you need to go to bed, or else you will resemble a walking dead person the next day? But, you can't find the answer to your last problem.

yep that was me...

I would stay up until the break of dawn trying to figure out my homework problems and keep some sort of sanity. I think I failed at the sanity part. As the night grew longer and longer I kept picturing the publishers cackling to themselves, coming up with problems for the students to attempt to answer, and giggling gleefully to themselves as they add and remove specific vital information. I can hear them: so Jerry hehe ... think they need the date of Columbus' first expedition??? haw haw Jerry- nope, let them guess giggle giggle that should add a few eye twitches to their school stress repertoire.

As the week grew longer and longer from 5 days of school to what it seemed like a decade, I grew more and more desperate... my mom would ask me to set the table as I was studying for a test  and I would blurt out something along the lines of : Dias sailed along the coast of Africa!!!!... then realize what she asked and shuffle over to the cupboard (while mentally going through the 13 colonies) to grab the plates. I would do this multiple times right before my History test... I wonder if there is a connection...? anyways I need to go do math... later folks.

Sleepover?? or awakovers???

I went to a "sleepover" last night. and I have to say, who in the world came up with the name sleepover??? You don't sleep!! you spend the night giggling, (especially after 3 A.M where you are past the point of no return and EVERYTHING is funny) and spontaneously breaking out in Justin Bieber songs and a few dance moves that slightly resemble a dying peacock because you have lost all hand eye coordination from a mixture of caffeine and sleep deprivation.

...a few hours later we attempted a volleyball practice... it wasn't pretty...
We spent the three and a half hours of scheduled practice: falling on our faces, (I felt we should blame it on the floor, maybe it was feeling lonely and needed a hug, you never know), missing balls, (the gravity pull felt a little stronger that day I decided), and randomly regretting the decision to stay up till the break of dawn giggling. A very productive practice I must say.

As a side note: there was a random shirtless dude riding his bike on the school grounds.  He would watch us attempt to play volleyball, ride off, and then come right back. Us girls, in our scheming, professional and very clear minded state- constructed an idea: that maybe we should scare him off. Thus, we started plotting his doom... hehehe...
After we had talked it out- we decided that the next time he showed up, we would all fall face down on the ground, imitating flattened pancakes. How this was supposed to scare him off... no one knows.... unfortunately he didn't show up again, so no one knows if it would have worked or not. (sigh) oh well... I guess we will just have to try it next time.

volletball shorts- putting new meaning to the short in shorts

I start volleyball this Monday, and came up with this great idea. I don't know why I hadn't thought of it earlier!!  It is to... actually not procrastinate- and actually get everything that I need for it today... rather than waiting till Monday and making a mad dash to the store, while attempting to keep my sanity, and some of my image as a calm, cool, and collected person. What is this phenomenon??? Call me crazy, but, I think a frantic redhead running through every sports store in town ranting about volleyball shorts and knee pads might just ruin the image...

Anyways the shorts: I was going through the shorts section in Kohls, and after approximately 50 billion years, I actually found the ones I was told I needed, and proceeded to  show them to my mom. It didn't look too hopeful. Unless of course you take your mom rolling around on the floor, laughing her head off, and wiping tears of mirth from her face, as a good sign. After recovering enough to get off the floor, she stood up, and asked me, what they were, and if it would just save time if she burned them now, then suggested we ask the clerk where the burkas were.

At that point I was losing all hope...

Then the rainbow appeared!!! :D
But not until a few stores later, where we found some shorts that worked, and didn't look like they would make a nun have seizure.

more camping :D :D

I went camping this week with my brother's wives' family, and my family. And I have to say, for the first time my family has EVER camped, it went well.

The highlights of the week I must say were: the SUN!!... smore's... the SUN!!... camp fires... the SUN!!... Tanning!! (or in my case burning)... the SUN!!... jet skiing... and the SUN!!!!! :D. are you starting to see a pattern yet???

Oooo, on the subject of jet skiing I have to say, IT WAS SOOO MUCH FUN!!! It was the first time I had ever ridden one and I had a blast- Though I do feel sorta sorry for the poor people riding with me. For some reason, I thought I would be a cautious driver and go verry slow. But, around the second minute of driving, I fully realized that I had great potential to be a crazy driver and was using my potential to the fullest...

I used my potential so well, in fact, that I dumped the suckers- oops, I mean occupants- that were driving with me twice. I have to confess, I fully enjoyed it, while trying to conceal a grin and a few malicious giggles to myself. (heh heh)

So, as my blogs posts are just not complete without me ranting about the weather a little bit, I will now do so. IT WAS AMMMMMAZING!!!!! I Loved It!!!
the sunshine... the fresh breeze blowing... the blue sky... (sigh) I think I will just die and go to heaven now :)

Now the weather was amazing, the weather's sense of humor.. not so much... Now, as you can probably guess, if you have read my other blog posts, the weather has it out for me...
It stays up late at night giggling evilly to itself, thinking up new ways to torture me, grinning while it plans for then next day.

Now you are probably thinking, "wait a minute.. didn't she just say the weather was amazing..."
And yes, ladies and gents, the weather was amazing. But, not to be outdone by making it sunny, it decided to make me at least a little miserable. (usually the weather just starts making it sporadically start raining cats and dogs when it feels like it, lending a hand to my misery)

Anyways, I was sitting in the car... soaking up the sun, grinning to myself, while listening to my Ipod and overall, in a happy mood. When, all of a sudden, a swarm of dead bugs flew through the window and bestowed themselves upon me in a rather demeaning manner...you can guess how I felt about this phenomenon.

Now you may ask, well, how do you know the weather did it?? I will answer. At what other time would you hear spontaneous evil laughs coming from the sky getting louder and louder each time you attempt to wipe bug guts off your face. It is obvious that it was weather related.
One might also ponder why the bugs were dead. Perhaps they died a moment after they splattered all over me, and came into contact with my glare. Or perhaps it was divine providence or something... One will always wonder.

"Bwahahahahahahahaha"-the weather

I am really bored at the moment so I decided to just randomly pick a subject and go with it.. and what subject got picked...(a moment of silence for suspense)  the weather...

Once again I am going to rant about the oh so wonderful western Washington weather (in case you can't tell, I was being sarcastic)
What brought about this idea to write about the weather you may ask...? Well I was sitting by the window staring outside at the rain, wondering what to write about as a blog post...
Then I was called downstairs to do some chores. Upon returning to my spot of pondering, once again staring out the window,  I wondered what to write about. Then, a sudden realization came over me. It wasn't raining anymore.... In fact it was quite sunny...
After I recovered from this realization, I came upon a second one... if it had only decided to stop raining about an hour earlier, today would have been an amazing sunny day, spent at the beach: soaking up the sun, and swimming my heart out..

but no, because it decided to rain cats and dogs for an hour later than it should have, I get to spend the day wandering aimlessly around the house, cleaning my room for the 20th time, and spontaneously ranting about the weather....

This is yet another glorious example of the weather's malicious sense of humor.

sauntering dogs and obedience school...

I have this dog

He is Wire Terrier/Rat Terrier/Shelty/TERROR!! He does not have a cute and cuddly bone in his body, and his name ironically is, Cuddles. Yes, I know you are probably thinking to yourself, "CUDDLES!? Who names a dog like that Cuddles???" All I have to say in my defense is, I was eight, ok!!??

I saw this furry un-cuddly little thing at age eight and the name that came to my mind was cuddles. It was all I could think at the moment because I was staring up at this tall lady grinning down at me asking what I was going to name my dog....Ugh I hate moments like that

So now that I have described my dog to you a little bit, I will tell you a little bit about his personality. A prime example would be last night. Picture this, I am yelling at the top of my lungs attempting to call my dog in for the night, and finally I give up with the optimistic idea that he will come to me when I call, and go out to the yard to get him. At the point of seeing me, he just stood there watching me with a grin of his face, no doubt proud of himself, thinking he must of made this master happy, that she would get an extra 200 steps of exercise, then deciding to further my exercise program, ran a few laps around the house while I chased him. After a few decades (or so it felt to me) he grew bored of this, and decided to go sit by the door grinning to himself as I ran panting up to the door, glaring at him and wondering why I had to be blessed with a dog with a distorted sense of humor.

After I stood by the door pointing inside and him "In", he saunters inside giving me "the" grin, then proceeded to take his royal seat on the couch. All the while containing this "air" about him that reminds you of perhaps that one girl that you hate that is part of the "snob squad", and makes you ponder to yourself if you could perhaps get lessons from him, because surely he must be an expert on the subject.

Talking about sauntering, surely he learned it from someone, is there a class for dogs?? Little do owners know when they take their dog to obedience school are dogs really learning, "The saunter??," or are are some dogs just born with it? Did I just get lucky and ended up with the King of them?

Or maybe he got it from my sister's dog, Pepper. For the sake of not having enough space on this blog to describe his personality, I will just tell you he was "special" and leave it at that, for the moment.

Pepper had the saunter down to the T, you would call him in for the night, and he would only show up at the exact moment where you have lost all your patience and are about to go get him, he would saunter up to you, walking past into the house, flashing you a grin, and look somewhat saying, What!! I couldn't come in until all the birds/rabbits/any living thing, was off our property!! I had to keep the house safe, those rabbits may look all furry and cute, but they are pure trouble. (His looks said alot)

Another example of his personality is whenever we would come back from our daily extensions...Upon hearing the car drive up, he would slowly get up from sunbathing on the grass, (no doubt working on his tan, and wondering where he put his tall iced tea.) He would then proceed to chase all the rabbits and birds from our yard, putting on a grand show, of his ability to protect our house. After he and cuddles had extracted all living things from our yard, he would lazily walk up to the car as we were getting out all the while saying, thank you! thank you very much! yes, that was a grand performance. Pepper then proceeds into the house to go get some of my moms grub, hungry after a long day of protecting his house. Or so he wanted us to think....

5 day club and missing peoples...

I finished my first day of 5 day club yesterday, ya, I know, I know, you are saying to yourself then why the heck is she writing about it now and not yesterday.. Well I have a perfectly good explanation for that. I couldn't kick anyone off the computer so that I could put my painfully optimistic opinions and thoughts in writing yesterday, and now is the first chance I have gotten to write on the computer without having to reenact world war two with one of my siblings to see who gets the computer.... anyways I am trailing off subject.

My first day of 5 day clubs was yesterday and it went really well.. the kids were cute, I got through my part without making TOO many mistakes.. and overall it was a good club. The only thing is- now I REALLY miss the people from Christian Youth In Action.. There is just something about studying for the Bible story and attempting to memorize like a jabillion pages of script that reminds you of camp and makes you miss everyone.... (sniff) (sniff)

on the subject of missing people, do you think anyone from camp would get upset over me kidnapping them for a day or two? I mean I don't think their parents would get TOO upset would you??? hmmmmmmmm its something to think about :D :D :D

she was joking, right???

I have been thinking lately about what it is going to be like this fall when I join "the other teenagers" and actually start going to school...
my sister and I were talking about this the other day and she helped me come up with this Acronym for high school
H- hurling
I-into
G-great
H-helpless

S-social
C-catastrophe
H-hoping
O-only
O-of
L-living

I am hoping and praying she was just kidding around and wasn't hinting in her own way what I should expect this fall....

on a different subject today was the last day of VBS and it was AMAZING!! I LOVE THE KIDS!!! the only downside is now I miss them :( and its kind of sad to think I won't see them again (sigh) :( oh well..
anyways all the kids were great, except one kid who decided it was her solemn duty the whole week to do the exact opposite of what I what I asked her. Apparently she didn't understand the meaning of no. She seemed to get some sort of pleasure out of seeing if she would make me slowly but surely go crazy...
and I am happy to say say she didn't succeed in her goal... even if I do develop a sudden and very severe eye twitch whenever ..."her"... name is mentioned. But, I am sure I will get over it soon...
