Excercise and all that misery...

So to give you a good description of what I think of running, I will paint a picture of what I think running would be if it had a face. I think it would be a cackling, grinning, idiot minus a common sense of courtesy. Are you getting a picture yet? As it is, we have an interesting relationship: I go running every day and it never fails to get in a few sinister laughs, as I attempt to get into some kind of shape other than round...

Now to all of you who are in shape, love running, and cant get this picture... I envy you.. you don't know the pain, the suffering, the agony, of the rest of us as we pant out a mile of jogging all the while repeating to ourselves, it will all be worth is in the end... it will all be worth it in the end... yet when we get to the end, the only thing we have is a healthy dose of hostility for exercise and a singeing glare for anyone that is in our way to the nearest water...

  1. Hannah, I LOVE this!! I myself have just gotten back in from a grueling run. I hated every second of it. I wanted to quit. Mr Evil Running tags right along beside me the whole time, sniveling and taunting at me every step, reminding me how much I hate it and how miserable I am, and how SLOW I am, and all I want to do is turn to him and tell him to get lost. But I managed to ignore him and make it through. But believe me - I feel your pain! Stick with it! We CAN do this!
